About Caramel - Located in Preston
Meet Caramel - your future sugar rush of love and entertainment! This little lad is super active and just as sweet as his name suggests. He's playful, bright, and just a bit mischievous in the most endearing way.
Caramel is the sort of feline that lights up a room, not just with his striking appearance, but also with his vibrant energy. He craves attention, but not in a demanding way. In fact, he has the skills to make you believe it was your idea to play chase in the first place! Watching him run up and down hallways and dart up his scratching post is bound to put a smile on your face.
Once Caramel has worn himself out with playing, he will show you his affectionate side and will curl up next to his favorite humans.
Caramel would absolutely thrive in a home with another friendly cat. He's a sociable fellow, and having a feline friend to play and interact with would make his day even more exciting. He's quick to make friends and even quicker when it comes to playtime! Will you be his new best friend forever?
Medical notes
WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
