About Robert
Please meet big cute, cuddly, gorgeous “Robert”
Robert is a 12-month-Poodle x Border Collie mix who is bubbly, sweet, and playful. He is a highly social and active guy who loves all kinds of adventures and fun. He loves to go for walks where he can sniff and explore and meet lots of new people and dogs to say hello to along his way.
After a walk, playing with his fur foster sibling, and having a sunbake in the yard Robert loves to come inside with his humans and have a nice relax and belly rub on the couch. Robert is house trained, crate trained, and knows a number of commands such as sit, wait for food, and give paw. He is a very clever boy and would love his family to take him to doggy school and maybe also enrol in some form of doggy sport down the track.
Robert loves playing with dogs of all sizes and has a submissive behaviour, ideally you will have a dog in the family for him to play with. He will make an amazing family dog for a fun and social family who is committed to putting time into his development.
It is a condition in our adoption agreement that all our dogs are to be taken through obedience training to ensure they reach their full potential.
IF YOU CAN TICK ALL THE BELOW BOXES, PLEASE POP IN AN ADOPTION APPLICATION FOR US TO CONSIDER.
• You have a large secure yard.
• Robert will not be alone for more than 6 hrs
• You will enrol Robert in obedience training.
• You will allow Robert to be part of the family and will allow him access to indoors with you.
• You WILL provide him with daily exercise AND mental stimulation.
Applications with extensive details on the lifestyle you will offer will be considered. Please provide the name of the obedience club you will attending.
PLEAS NOTE: if you provide basic details only, we will be unable to process your application sorry.
Adoption details
All forms (including foster and adoption) can be found at the following link:
http://www.challyanimalrescue.org.au/adopt.php
** Only applications submitted via this link will be considered **
Our adoption process is as follows:
1) Animal is listed on PetRescue
2) Applications are received
3) The application which we feel offers the best-suited home to the pet is contacted for first preference of a meet and greet to see if they 'click' with the animal.
We do not follow a first-in, first-served process and only consider applications completed via our online form.
Due the popularity of some dogs - and the fact that our rescue is run entirely by volunteers - we cannot guarantee that all unsuccessful applicants will be notified, however we will do our best.
