Meet Douglas, the resilient pointer cross with a heart of gold.
Its been 7 weeks since Douglas came into care in a very sad state.
He was emaciated, and suffering with fleas and ticks, gastro and a heavy worm burden. His eyes were so sore from turned in eyelashes scratching his poor eyes that he could not open them.
Douglas has always displayed an affectionate temperament. Having courageously recovered from being malnourished - he then faced entropion eye surgery, Doug took it all in his stride♥♥
Douglas now enjoys life with a renewed sparkle in his eyes. He is calm and affectionate, he's always ready for a game of fetch or a cozy cuddle.
Dougie's spirit is as boundless as his new love for adventure, now he can see without pain every day is a new journey of joy and discovery for him.
Thanks to the The Veterinary Hospital North for Doug's eye surgery and Noranda & Beechboro Veterinary Clinic for helping with his overall recovery from being malnourished - Douglas is now ready to find that special family to love and adore him forever.

Medical notes
All our Celebrities are wormed, flea treated on admission to the program. They are also vaccinated and microchipped. They are also sterilized or Adoption fees include a voucher for sterilization at our supporting vets if they are not already done.
Douglas has recovered from his recent sterilization so he is ready for his new adventure!!
