Add Some Zip to Your Life!
- Meet Zippy, an affectionate and playful 4-month-old kitten. Watch out, as this happy-go-lucky boy will steal your heart!
- Zippy is a confident, outgoing chap, and once he feels comfortable in his new environment, he sets out to explore everything and everyone! He is curious and sociable, happy to meet new friends, including children and other cats (and probably dogs).
- Zippy loves cuddling, is very happy to be picked up and petted, and has the most gorgeous purr. He’ll happily sit on your lap - but not always for long, as he’s just as likely to jump up to check out the next thing, real or imaginary, that takes his fancy.
- Zippy is a little ball of energy, and will zoom around the house, jumping and climbing everywhere he can. He’s being trained to stay off the benches and tables. He loves playing with all sorts of interactive toys like string toys, feathers, dryer balls, his own tail, etc. It’s really funny to watch him climb into the toy box and pull out new selections!
- Zippy is a master cat tree acrobat, and loves the view from above! Don’t worry though, he’s also happy to spend quiet time on his own, resting and recharging. He enjoys watching the world and its creatures from the safety of a catio or a nice perch near a window.
- Zippy gets on well with other cats and would make an excellent playmate for most, although he may be too energetic at present for some while he learns to play. He had no problems sharing space with a dog for a couple of days. He plays gently with people, and would be a fun companion for children who can do the same.
- Zippy is not a fussy eater (to put it mildly). This growing boy has a healthy appetite, and is happy to eat wet or dry cat food - his own, or anyone else’s. He will rush in to eat food from other pets’ plates - or your own, if you’re not careful. He is a tidy cat, and litter-box trained.
- Zippy such a friendly and loving fellow, he’s sure to become a very special part of his family!
PLEASE NOTE: Zippy has had his 1st kitten vaccination and is due for his 2nd vaccination and microchip on 28/6/24. Zippy must also be desexed at the age of 6 months. These procedures are covered in his adoption fee and must be done at an approve vet clinic in Busselton, Vasse or Bunbury.
If you would like to meet Zippy, please complete the application form at https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=zm1493&method=online_form_html&formid=9
The adoption fee includes desexing, vaccinations, microchip (including transfer of ownership), flea and worm treatment and vet check.
Our adoption process includes a two-week trial period to ensure you and your adopted pet are the right fit.
SAFE Busselton requests that all persons adopting a cat adhere to responsible containment practices. As per the current Cat Laws in WA we encourage people to keep their rescued cat as a permanent indoor cat or with access to a safe cat run. It is no longer desirable to allow your cat to wander onto adjoining properties. Confident cats can also be trained to walk on a harness and lead. We ask that owners be responsible and keep their adopted cat safe at all times so that you will have a long and loving life together. Information on cat enclosures can be found here: https://safe.org.au/catios
SAFE Busselton reserves the right to select adoptive homes based on “best fit” for the pet. Although all applications will be considered, being the first application will not necessarily provide an advantage as the adoption committee considers many factors when matching animals to their new home.
