About Hawkeye - Located in Preston
Hi, I’m Hawkeye—just like the superhero you know, but in feline form. I may be a bit quiet when we first meet, sizing you up like a true marksman, but give me a few moments, and I’ll be your most loyal sidekick, especially if you come bearing toys or treats.
I’m all about precision and agility, pouncing on mice toys with the accuracy of a well-aimed arrow. You’ll find me zooming around the house, engaging in playful skirmishes with my fellow feline comrades. I thrive in the company of a resident cat who can show me the ropes and boost my confidence, but I’m equally capable of being your solo star, the apple of your eye.
Stealth is my game—I’m a master at sneaking into your arms when you least expect it. My purrs are like a lullaby, easing you into sleep with the gentleness of a feather landing on a target.

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.

Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
