About Brian
In a world where daisies sway and bloom,
Lives a dog named Brian, dispelling all gloom.
A Border Collie, black and white,
With a heart so pure, a joyous light.
In his last home, with cats he'd reside,
A peaceful bond, side by side.
He'd need a slow intro, to settle and blend,
But with time and patience, he'll make a new friend.
Friendly and warm, to all he meets,
Brian's love knows no defeats.
Adoring dogs, his joy runs deep,
In playgroup fun, he leaps and leaps.
With two canine friends, he waits and plays,
Dreaming of home for all his days.
He longs to meet kids, to join in their cheer,
A forever family, his heart draws near.
Exploring the world with curious eyes,
Brian loves outings beneath the skies.
With his hoomans by his side,
Every journey, a joyous ride.
Brian, dear Brian, with a soul so grand,
May you find a home, a loving hand.
For in your heart, so pure and true,
A forever family waits for you.
To book a meet and greet with Brian please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
