About Brighty
Meet Brighty, the Ginger Kitty with a Heart of Gold!
Brighty is a beautiful ginger boy with a mission to brighten up your day, every single day. His charming personality and heartwarming presence will quickly become the highlight of your life. This super sweet kitty adores a gentle pat and will happily soak up all the love and attention you have to offer.
Though he might be a bit shy at first, don't be discouraged! Brighty prefers to take his time getting to know his new surroundings and the people in it. Once he feels safe and comfortable, you'll witness his true, loving nature emerge. When Brighty trusts you, he will love you forever, forming a bond that's both deep and enduring.
Brighty is not just a people-cat; he gets along wonderfully with other felines too. He would thrive in a home with a chill, laid-back cat who enjoys hanging out as much as he does. Together, they can form a peaceful and harmonious companionship.
While Brighty loves company, he would do best in a home with older kids who understand his need for space and patience as he adjusts. His gentle spirit and lovely nature make him an ideal companion for families who are willing to give him the time he needs to settle in.
If you're looking for a loving, loyal friend who will brighten up your life, look no further than Brighty. This lovely ginger boy is ready to find his forever home, and he can't wait to share his love and sweetness with you.
To book a meet and greet with Brighty please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
