Angel 😇 1yo Papillion x (On Trial10/6/24)

Angel is a heavenly, 11-month-old, Papillion x Maltese. She is a very curious and affectionate little puppy who will follow you around and want to know everything that's going on. When you sit down she’ll jump on your lap and gaze adoringly into your eyes.

Angel is alert and smart and has lots of potential. She will enjoy learning new things and needs someone who has the time to keep her mind and body active. She is young and not ready to retire on a lap. She will need training, enrichment toys, play time with other dogs, and going places and doing things.

🐶Angel is in foster care with four other small dogs and she likes being with them. The dogs enjoy chasing each other around the garden. Angel would be fine living with another friendly dog or else having regular opportunities to meet up with doggie friends. She likes to play tug and fetch with a soft toy.

Angel loves going for walks and walks very nicely on a harness and lead. She is good in the car 🚗. She isn't a nuisance barker but she will let you know when anyone walks past or comes to your door. She needs to have a grassy yard to run around so she's not suited to apartment living.

Angel is very much an inside girl and needs to be welcome inside, on your furniture, and to sleep inside. She is housetrained. Since she hasn’t had much training, she isn’t ready to be let off the lead yet, but you can use an extra-long lead to let her run around in open spaces.

She is fine home alone inside for a few hours at a time but not all day. So, we're looking for a home where there is someone who doesn’t work full-time outside the home.

Angel is good with children but she isn't suitable to a busy household with children under 12. She likes small visitors though. She hasn’t been tested with cats or pocket pets.

Angel has a gorgeous, low-shedding coat. “Papillion” is French for “butterfly” and Angel has the classic Papillion feathery ears which look like butterfly wings. But because she is crossed with Maltese she is low-shedding. Her coat is long, straight and silky. She needs daily brushing and professional grooming every 4 to 8 weeks to keep her coat in good condition. She weighs approximately 4.5kgs.

Angel was surrendered to Dog Rescue Newcastle from a loving home. Sadly, due to a change in circumstances they could no longer keep her.

Angel’s forever home:

✅ provide ongoing training to engage her active mind.

Angel is in foster care in Belmont, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle). ⭐She is only available for adoption within NSW and ACT.

Angel's adoption fee is $1,000 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas, worms, vet checked, and microchipped.
