About Wanda and houdini
Both dogs would suit a family where someone is going to be home with them most of the time. They are great on walks together and are also good at travelling in the car. The new family would need to be patient with their barking at the doorbell and visitors. They will calm down relatively quickly, but it is a difficult behaviour to unlearn. They are great with kids, but probably better suited to older kids that will be able to read their body language and limits. They are good with all other noises, e.g. storms, vacuum, fireworks, etc. They will follow you to every room and sleep on or nearby you. They are not high-maintenance (other than weekly brushing). They are lazy dogs that prefer to lounge all day. You just need to keep an eye on them as they aren’t good at showing they need the toilet and may just go on the floor if they feel like it. They would need more socialising and training if they are to be taken out to cafes and anywhere with large crowds. I would encourage more interaction with other dogs at daycare or on walks to help them gain their confidence. Their new family also needs to be strict with food as they are greedy dogs, like most dachshunds.
Meet Wanda and Houdini, two adorable canines who are joined at the hip and turn heads wherever they go. This dynamic and lovable pair are inseparable and bring boundless joy and laughter to everyone they meet. They're looking for a new family – but they're a package deal!
With Wanda and Houdini, two is always better than one. Together, they make any environment feel like a home filled with love and warmth. They are excellent companions, whether you're going for walks in the park, or embarking on road trips. They also have an amazing knack for calming down swiftly after getting excited by the doorbell or visitors, a behaviour which continuously impresses those around them.
Preferably, their new family should include older, understanding children who can appreciate and respect their limits. These two canines are not fazed by loud noises like thunderstorms, fireworks, or the vacuum cleaner – what champions! Their loyal affection is heartwarming, and they're known for their cute habit of following you from room to room and sleeping at or nearby your feet.
Quite the laid-back dogs, Wanda and Houdini are perfectly content lounging around and observe their surroundings. They don't require high maintenance but appreciate weekly brushing. However, they might need a little guidance when it comes to their toilet habits, as they aren't the best at signalling when nature calls, occasionally choosing unconventional spots.
While they're currently more suited to home and neighborhood environments rather than bustling social hotspots, they do benefit from having more interaction with other dogs to boost their confidence.
Lastly, like many dachshunds, these cute dogs really do love their food! Their new family will need to be vigilant about meal portions and timing because these two might convince you they're always ready for seconds.
Wanda and Houdini are excited to find a new family that can provide them with the love, patience, and companionship they deserve. They're ready to fill your home with their love, loyalty, and delightful antics.
