About Flume
Meet Flume,
Flume is a sweet kitten who’s a little shy but also a little playful! She is looking for a home with a family who is patient and kind, a family who will allow her to blossom & grow. Flume loves to play with her siblings and adores cuddles once she has warmed up to you.
Flume was once so scared that you couldn't touch her, she would shy away & hide under her bed. Over the weeks we have seen her blossom & grow & become so much more confident. Our proudest moment was hearing her purr for the first time. She doesn't hide any more but she can sometimes be a little scared, but not as much as she used to be.
Flume has grown into a very affectionate & curious girl who loves to play with her siblings & bat around toys in her condo. With her confidence still growing she loves to meet you at the front of her condo & loves when its food time.
Just like all kittens, Flume would love a cat tree to climb on and scratch, and an assortment of toys to play with. She should be fed kitten food multiple times a day to ensure that she grow up big and strong.
Flume should be strictly indoors. Reason for this is due to her slight timidity. Going outside may undo all the progress that she has made since coming into our care. The outside world is big & can be scary for a small kitten.
Flume is already litter trained, but it’s best to show her where the litter tray is when you get home to minimise any accidents.
If you’ve got other animals at home, that’s okay, just make sure that they have a slow & controlled introduction.
Can you open your heart and home to a sweet, playful kitty like Flume?
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask if that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
