Rupert and Peggy Sue (male & female)

Meet Rupert and Peggy Sue, an inseparable brother-sister duo of Cross Breed Wessex Saddleback pigs. Rescued as piglets in poor health and facing an unthinkable fate, they were given a second chance at life. Now, healthy and full of personality, they are ready to find their forever home.

• 𝐑𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭 has a gentle nature and is a little shy around new people, but once he warms up, he’s a social butterfly. Tame and easy to manage, Rupert gets along well with other animals. He loves rolling over for tummy scratches and even sits like a puppy!

• 𝐏𝐞𝐠𝐠𝐲 𝐒𝐮𝐞 has a sweet, quiet nature but can be a bit bossy when she comes into heat for a few days each month. During this time, it’s best to keep her separate from Rupert and similarly sized animals. The ideal environment for her during this time is plenty of space in her pen with enrichment. The rest of the time, she’s the sweetest companion.

𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬:
• 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 is being offered up to 4 hours from the location.
• 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐢𝐞𝐭: Boar and sow grain, fruit and vegetable scraps, bread, pasture.
• 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐭: Registered with Pig Pass and has PIC number.
• With a bit of time, they can be trained to follow basic commands.
• They are great with kids and enjoy human interaction.

𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
• A secure pen.
• Plenty of space to roam and explore.
• A kiddie pool or wallow in the mud.
• Enrichment toys like treat balls to keep their curious minds engaged.
• A family to give them the love and attention they deserve.
• Ability to keep Peggy Sue separate during her heat cycle is recommended.
