About Piggy
Quaker parrots, also known as monk parakeets, are beloved for their charming and comical personalities. Their eagerness to mimic human speech adds an extra layer of delight for bird enthusiasts. Despite their smaller size, they offer all the fun and companionship of larger parrots.
Once you forge a bond with a Quaker parrot, you're in for years of joyful companionship. Their playful antics and ability to learn and interact make them an excellent choice for bird lovers seeking a lifelong feathered friend.
In order to keep your Quaker parrot happy and mentally stimulated, it's essential to provide them with plenty of toys, puzzles, and activities. They thrive in an environment that challenges them intellectually and encourages physical exercise. Regular out-of-cage time and social interaction with their human caregivers are also crucial for their well-being.
Piggy is used to a freestanding medium sized indoor cage. She is calm and can be handled once she is used to her person, she takes a little while to warm up to others but has a solid bond once familiar with you. She is very chatty at times and has memorised a list of words she has learnt, that she repeats back to you cutely. Piggy gets lonely when by herself, and would do best with someone who doesn't work full-time or she will squawk. She will come with a small cage and some pellets and quaker mix.-
