About Jack
Hi there! My name is Jack, and I'm a super cool little dude looking for my forever home. I'm a six-month-old Jack Russell and Chihuahua mix, and let me tell you, I bring the best of both worlds.
I've spent some time in foster care, and my foster family absolutely loved having me around. They said I'm a joy to be with and have the sweetest personality. I get along great with cats-seriously, we're like best buds. And other dogs? I love them too! In fact, I'm happiest when I have a furry friend to hang out with. Being alone isn't my thing, so having another dog in the house would be perfect for me.
Training is important, and I'm ready to learn! I'm still young, so teaching me the ropes now will make me the best companion you could ever ask for. I need my daily walks to explore the world and burn off some of my puppy energy. Plus, it's a great way for us to bond.
At night, there's nothing I love more than snuggling under the covers. I'll curl up right next to you, keeping you warm and cozy. Oh, and I adore kids! They're so much fun to play with and keep me entertained.
If you're looking for a loving, energetic, and snuggly little guy to join your family, I'm your pup. Let's make some amazing memories together!
To book a meet and greet with Jack please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
