About Larry and Curly
Adoption Donation: $225 each calf. Donation is not a set amount. Forever homes are our priority.
Meet Larry and Curly, two adorable calves, rescued from a dairy farm and ready for adoption. These beautiful calves will make wonderful companions and "lawnmowers." ❤️
Larry and Curly were born into the dairy industry as a byproduct of milk production – their lives considered expendable. Male calves like them are often deemed “surplus” on dairy farms, facing a heartbreaking fate. Luckily, Larry and Curly were rescued and have since found safety in foster care. Now, they’re ready to find their forever home as companions, not commodities.
• 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 (𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐲) is the taller of the two, often described as a "refined English gentleman." He loves his milk, enjoys a good scratch on his head, and is always curious about the yard's happenings. Despite his calm nature, he’s known to be a bit cheeky when it comes to sneaking an extra treat from his carers every now and then.
• 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐥𝐲 (𝐀𝐲𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐞), the life of the party, is always up for a game. His favourite pastime is pushing a ball around the yard, hoping someone will join in. Full of energy and charm, Curly is always the first in line for his meal and enjoys doing laps around the shed with Larry not far behind.
𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬:
• Transport not provided. You can collect your adopted calves from their foster home using a horse float or cage trailer, or we can help you obtain a quote from a trusted contract transporter.
• Both Larry and Curly are fully weaned.
𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
• Approx. 4 acres.
• Paddocks with pasture to graze and good fencing to keep them secure.
• Shelter to keep them warm and dry (or at least a large canopy or large tree coverage).
• A family to give them the love they deserve with a long-term commitment, as these calves will be lifelong companions for the next 20-25 years.
• No prior experience with cows is needed. Most of our adopters are first-time cow adopters. We provide ongoing support throughout and after the adoption process.
If you believe you can offer these sweet boys a forever home, please reach out for more information. 💙🫶
Medical notes
Both calves are he vaccinated, healthy/strong for adoption, desexed and NLIS tagged.
