About Mavis
Meet Mavis, A Mastiff cross who is sturdy but full of charm and affection. This strong and solidly built lady is the epitome of loving protection. She's the kind of dog you'd feel secure with, without sacrificing a cuddly companion. Mavis tends to act like a land seal or a small hippopotamus 🦛 - basking in the sun .
Mavis thrives on human interaction. She adores being around people, and those who have the privilege of meeting her instantly fall in love with her charming personality.
While she hasn't been tested around children or cats, due to her size and strength, we recommend a home with children over 10. Mavis is a friendly dog with a robust build, so older kids who can hold their own around her would be the optimal choice.
Mavis loves a good cuddle and enjoys her relaxation time almost as much as her playtime. Her presence is likely to fill your home with joy and laughter. She's the kind of dog who will stick by your side and would make a wonderful companion for a family looking for a loyal and lovable furry friend. Mavis is ready to wiggle her way into your heart and home.

Adoption details
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the BCDR Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal.
We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home or in a public place. If you have other animals they should please be at the meet.
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
Supporting documents required ;
Real estate approval or home own proof .
Photos of your fence / current pets if applicable.
