About Indy
🐾 Foster or Foster to Adopt Home Needed for Indy! 🐾
Please meet Indy, a gorgeous little puppy. She recently arrived at our shelter malnourished and dehydrated, but we quickly found a loving and amazing foster carer for her. Unfortunately Indy's foster can no longer house her and so Indy is looking for her next adventure.
🏡 About Indy:
- Age: 13 weeks old
- Personality: Happy, active, smart and social
- Compatibility: Fantastic with children and cats
- House Training: Nearly fully house-trained
- Behavior: Working on food guarding, needs patient and gentle training
- Vigilance: Barks appropriately to alert the home
- Comforts: Loves sneaking onto couches and beds
🐶 Indy's Traits:
- Socializing: Great on and off-leash, with good manners in various settings
- Playfulness: Loves playing with toys and other dogs
- Training: Responds well to commands, gentle demeanor, and sleeps through the night
- Size: Expected mature weight of 20-35 kgs, possibly part Bull Arab and Ridgeback
🌟 Why Indy is Exceptional:
- Handles off-leash time on the beach with ease
- Doesn't dash out when gates open
- Recently showed impeccable manners during her first cafe outing
- Friendly and well-mannered at weekly doggy daycare sessions
- Enthusiastic and playful, especially with smaller dogs
- Great with CATS
Indy is truly a gem, showing great promise as a wonderfully behaved and highly trainable dog. If you can offer Indy a temporary loving home, please fill out the foster application attached and one of our team will be in touch.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
As Indy will grow into a very large dog, the vet has advised that she not be desexed prior to the age of 10-12months. If desexed too early, this could cause ongoing spinal and hip problems.
