About Cricket
Introducing the gorgeous and oh so sweet Cricket
Cricket is a 6 year and 7 month old gorgeous Toy Poodle
Cricket is an ex-breeding girl who has now retired and since coming into care has blossomed into a lovely girl.
Since coming into care Cricket has been experiencing a lot of firsts and just makes us so proud each day.
The rescue has ensured that Cricket's days of breeding are no longer and all her vet work is now up-to-date
As Cricket didn’t have a lot of human socialization until she came into care, she is wary of meeting new people – so anyone who meets her MUST give her the time to adjust and come up to them on her timeframe.
Cricket is looking for a quiet home with either older teenage kids or adults only simply as she can sometimes still be shy. She is also looking for a home where there is someone home more often than not – either shift work, part time, work home, not needing to work, retired etc.
Cricket weighs 5.6kgs
Cricket is currently living with other small breed dogs and at first meeting can be nervous but is happy to be around them now and is starting to join in and play and is happy to snuggle with them at night on the bed.
Cricket is a quiet and calm girl who loves her humans when she is settled and comfortable with them.
Cricket is now looking for her forever home - she would do better in a home where there is another small breed gentle dog who is happy to show her the ropes and give her the confidence she needs to settle and continue to come out of her shell.
Cricket’s ideal home would be where she can be inside as much as her little heart wants and have access outside for lady business and some play and sunbaking. Cricket would not cope being a dog who was expected to spend hours outside.
Cricket does like to sleep with one of her humans (and she will bond tightly to one more then another).
Once Cricket is confident and comfortable with you she will love a good cuddle on the couch while you’re watching tv or cooking she will be an awesome couch warmer for you.
Cricket is toilet trained but may have an accident or two when going to a new house – she will just need a few days to settle and shown the outside to do her business.
Cricket is cat friendly
Cricket does have a coat that requires regular grooming so please make sure that you do remember that it’s a life time of grooming.
Cricket is looking for a home where she will be allowed the time to settle and her humans will continue to help her confidence grow and be cherished like she should be – are you that home?

Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
