This boy exuberantly enjoys the company of humans and dogs alike. He is just a wonderful sweet bundle of energy ready for a active family
Boston is a very handsome Border Collie x Kelpie weighing in at 16 kilos

Boston is a cheeky boy who will slowly worm his way onto your lap one paw at a time. Next thing you know he’s snuggled into your lap.
Boston is interested in people and has had a lot of exposure since arriving from a country pound. He had been down to the local footy and parks showing a happy demeanor
From knowing only to sitting this boy is a super keen learner and has now learnt sit/ stay/ drop/ come/ off/ no/out/ mat/ find it. He is food motivated so that has helped his training progress well. He had no idea of walking on a lead when he arrived so now with the use of a slip lead he is learning what leash pressure means and is starting to master loose lead walking in a low stimulus environment. He has attended dog obedience with his carer coming away with Best in ground for his first session. He loves the social and well as the mental stimulation of learning. We would love it if his new family would do the same as this boy is a keen learner and will go a long way if a family is willing to put in the effort of training
Boston loves tug/ chasing the ball/ flirt pole or frisbee
Boston can be a little nervous around some dogs just a bit barky to say hey who are you but we have nipped that in the bud so he is now learning to leave it when walking past other dogs. He will need ongoing training with this as he can get distracted and pull. He is currently living with four other dogs of varying personalities and has slotted in well. He definitely is the playful energetic teenager in the group enjoying play and zoomies but also happy to hang out and sleep the day away
This boy is versatile, he's happy indoors or out, can bark at times but not excessively and has not shown any destructive traits.
Boston is fed using a slow feeder bowl as he literally gulps down his food. He is fed around other dogs with supervision and all treats are given separately. He is gentle in taking training treats from your hand. He will require a puppy kibble till he’s 12 months old
Boston is fully toilet trained and able to navigate the doggy door
Boston is happy sleeping inside or out. He’s happy to curl up on the outside dog bed and sleep the night away and has been tested in a crate with no problem, settling well
Boston loves the car as it means playtime at the park
He travels well in the back and is very settled
Being a working breed this boy needs daily exercise and stimulation. On our walks we mentally simulate him by playing the game of find it ( kibble thrown around for him to sniff and find) and also basic obedience like sit / drop. He would benefit from regular obedience classes and would most probably excel at agility. He is a little sponge and loves to learn
Boston is still learning his inside manners and to be calm and polite, he will go to mat if directed but also does like a cuddle on the couch. He is learning to sit for pats and his jumpiness has decreased significantly.
He can get up to some naughty teenage antic but as above is a quick learner, learning inside is calm not crazy time

Ideal home
An active family with working breed experience to keep this boy simulated and happy
A medium- large secure yard, a property would be his dream life
Another female of similar size and energy level but he will also be fine as an only dog.
He can be a bit mouthy in play so we suggest dog savvy kids who are able to tolerate an excitable but lovable pup.
A family that are going to put effort into his training to get out the best in this boy
No small yard or apartment living will be considered
