About Boo
Boo is our resident senior and isn’t she just perfection?! This darling girl was found dumped on a dirt road miles out of a country town in very rural NSW. Multiple attempts were made by rangers to contact her registered owners, but not much hope was held for a reunion considering the location she was found. Although a stressful event for Boo, we are sure she’s glad she found her way to us as she has gone from an emaciated, matted and sad dog to a healthy, happy and playful girl in a matter of a month. When she arrived we didn’t know if she would have much time left earth side, but through great veterinary care and amazing TLC from her carer she has come leaps and bounds and is now looking for her forever home to spend her final years as a much spoilt family dog.
Boo is exceptionally affectionate to her people. She loves to be close to her carer and enjoys nothing more than some good cuddles or a belly rub. She is friendly with everyone she meets, but can be a bit shy meeting strangers, never aggressive, her person is just her number one priority.
While boo has had some positive interactions with children, we believe this girl deserves a quiet and relaxed home life so we will be looking for an adult only lifestyle for her.
Boo has been enjoying foster care sharing her home with another small breed dog. She has also enjoyed having the carer’s adult children’s’ dogs over - a wolfhound mix and a staffy. We thought the staffy would be too much for miss Boo, but after a few minutes of insecurity boo and the staffy ended up cuddling up together for a nap on the couch. She is fine meeting new dogs out and about, she’s just an old lady who will have a sniff and move on - she prefers her humans company anyways! She would be fine as an only dog or sharing her home with other friendly dogs as long as they are happy to share a space without always trying to play or interact.
At home this girl is a breeze to have around. She sleeps most of the day, but absolutely enjoys her outings so must go to a family committed to giving her daily outings. She does get a bit nervous of her leash, so her carer has been doing a combination of walks, car trips and outings to just sit and watch the world go by to get Boo more confident in Sydney. She is toilet trained, sleeps through the night and is not a barker. While she is fine to be left home alone, due to her limited time left earth side we will only be looking for a family where someone is home most of the time to ensure she gets the most out of the (hopefully) years she has left. She just sleeps while you’re out and greets you at the door with a lovely play bow and little bark when you return! Boo cannot do stairs well, so any family interested will either need to live in a single story home or have the ability to carry her up and down when needed which should be easy as she is only 3.5kg! She should not have to use stairs if you are out though to access necessities.
Boo is in pretty good shape for her age. She had bloods done at the vets which showed nothing of concern and she has gained good weight. Although it’s not good practice to shave Pomeranians, her fur was extremely matted so she needed a good cut. Luckily she was so amazing for the groomer and this groomer has offered a lifetime of free grooms if she’s adopted locally! We have got her on a good diet and a joint supplement called antinol which has really helped her arthritic joints and she is a lot more mobile and playful. Her new owner will need to understand she is a geriatric dog and be able to financially support whatever medical needs come up. We would also like her to be kept on antinol and a good quality diet. She is blind in one eye and has minimal vision in the other, but once acclimatised to her environment she gets around well independently and is very relaxed around the home.
For an older girl, Boo has a lot of life and spunk left in her and we can’t wait for her to find the home she deserved from the start. If you are interested in making this gorgeous girl a permanent member of your family, please fill out an adoption enquiry form and include plenty of extra detail as to your previous dog experience and the type of lifestyle you can offer Boo.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
