About Scrappy
Hi! I’m Scrappy and I’m looking for a new family to call my own.
Size: Small
Weight: 8.5kg
NOTE: I AM AN EXTREMELY ENERGETIC BOY SO I REQUIRE LOTS OF EXERCISE AND MENTAL STIMULATION AND SOCIALISATION.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR SCRAPPY
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM

NOTE: You are unable to meet Scrappy until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Scrappy in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.
What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socializing with other dogs
• I like both friendly male and female dogs as long as they tolerating as I can be full of beans and very vocal.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Color bond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• No children under 5 as when I'm excited I get very bouncy and mouthy, older children who will be involved with my training should be ok.
• Being a social and playful pupper I would love to go to doggy daycare
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• I don't like Cat's. If they hiss or swipe at me I want to chase them.
• A doggie companion is highly recommended to keep me company when my family isn't home or a family that is home all the time. I suffer from separation anxiety which results in barking and possible destructive behaviors.
• TRAINING TRAINING TRAINING. It's ESSENTIAL I receive training in all aspects of my life so I can be the best dog I can be when I'm older.
Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Cats as I may find them fun to chase
• No Children under 5 as I can be mouthy when over excited
My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• Food motivated
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog
• Happy to hang out with other friendly tolerant dogs
• Exuberant & full of beans
Where I need to improve / Training required:
• I will require full basic training as I've had no training experience yet
• I love my food so using it as a positive reward should make my training easier.
• I need further training on my recall as I can ignore you if you're trying to call me back to you
• I can be a bit bouncy and mouthy when excited -training should stop this
• I may show signs of anxiety when I'm left alone in the backyard. Leaving me some enrichment toys/treats may help this.
• I appear to be quiet vocal at times when left alone or excited- a family who has a lot of time for me, allow me indoors and leave me with lots of mental enrichment when home alone is recommended
• I do walk quite well on the lead once settled, however I can pull if something interests me so walking in a harness is recommended
