About Toulouse
Our darling Toulouse; the last of Paris' kittens, the most shy, but the bravest with a big heart :)
We originally decided we'd keep Paris & Toulouse together as a mummy-daughter pair, but after we'd separated Toulouse to desex her, we realised they both came out of their shell, and were much more smoochy and independent without each other. So we've decided to adopt the out separately.
Toulouse is currently in foster care with our Head Nurse Sian, and she has instantly bonded beautifuly with her 7 yr old daughter, so Toulouse would be very well-suited to a home with very gentle, school-aged children who know how to be patient and wait for her to approach them when she feels ready. Once she knows you, she is much more confident.
She'd also be very happy in an apartment with a couple or a single person. She must be kept indoor only due to her very white complexion, she is not suited to being outdoors in the Australian climate and sun with her skin type.
Toulouse would be happy to share her home with another young kitten, she is very playful, loves toys and loved wrestling and chasing her littermates.
Toulouse is a shy girl to start with, so she needs someone who is very loving and patient, and who will understand that she just needs time to trust and love you.
I fostered her from the time she and her littermates were 3 weeks old, and it wasn't until she was at least 10 weeks that she started coming to me and enjoying being patted and cuddled. Now she purrs as soon as she seems me :)
Adoption details
Please direct messages to Rosie, our kitten adoption officer. Please provide as much details about your home and family as possible. We are a very busy vet hospital, so we prefer no phone calls :) Thank you.
IMPORTANT: All cats and kittens adopted out from Drummoyne Veterinary Hospital MUST go to either an indoor-only home, or a home with a suitable cat-proof outdoor area or enclosure. Our mission is to make Sydney a better place for cats, their families and our precious wildlife. That means responsible re-homing. We want our cats and kittens to go to the safest, most loving of homes. We don't want them exposed to risks such as getting hit by a car, dog attacks, cruelty from people, injury or death from cat fights or dog attacks, or contracting infectious disease. We want them to live a long, happy and healthy life with their families; safe from harm :)
Please note we do not hold kittens - it's a first in, first served basis once we have reviewed your application and invited you to meet the kitten.
