About Zeus
Introducing Zeus!
Zeus is a Shih Tzu x Staffy born 1st August 2023.
Zeus came into us a stray & unfortunately his owner decided not collect him or give us a surrender profile. Since being at the facility Zeus has shown himself to be a very quiet boy (we often forget he's here because he's so quiet), he's incredibly affectionate & loves playing with toys. He's definitely a cuddler & will follow you everywhere until he gets the loving he's craving.
Zeus tested very well with other dogs & he's incredibly playful with them. He does have a bit of a crush on one of our female dogs and although she's twice his size, it doesn't stop him "shooting his shot". We believe Zeus would be suitable to live with other dogs or to be the only "child" at home.
As he's been with us throughout our many weeks of quarantine, we haven't had much opportunity to have him out of the kennel or to go on walks, but other than being excited he's fairly good on lead.
Zeus was unfazed by the cat enclosure, however none of the cats came face to face with him for a proper meet & greet.
While he's only a small boy, he has the heart of a Staffy & he does stand on his back legs for a cuddle.
He still has so much to learn about the world and life and would love to be in a home where he is included as a member of the family. Zeus will thrive in an environment that guides him with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Zeus' adoption fee is $500 and includes his desexing and lifetime registration.
Zeus is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with his vaccinations for his age.

Zeus is looking forward to meeting you and he is currently located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
