Hi people of the internet! I'm Fern. I'm a happy, gentle and playful girl who just can't get enough of life's simple joys and I would love to share life with you. Let me tell you about myself.

Treat time is the highlight of my day, and I'll enthusiastically try to do all sorts of tricks for a tasty snack. Toys are another favourite, especially ropes and squeaky ones. There's nothing quite like a good game of tug-of-war or fetch to get my tail wiggling and wagging.

But it's not all about playtime for me. I’m a sucker for pats and cuddles. Curling up next to you on the couch in the warm sun while you scratch behind my ears is my idea of pure bliss. And speaking of companionship, I absolutely adore riding in the car. Windows down, wind in my fur, looking at the scenery is a fantastic adventure I’m always up for.

I'm in foster care in Perth with another doggo at the moment and we love to play chasey and zoomies in the garden. I would do well with a doggy friend with similar energy levels or I could also be an only dog I think.

4 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING:

1. Time Commitment: Owning a dog is a big responsibility and requires a significant commitment of time and energy. Be sure to consider how much time you can realistically dedicate to caring for a dog and make sure you are prepared to make that commitment.

2. Cost: Owning a dog can be expensive. Make sure to consider the cost of food, medical care, toys, and other supplies. You may also want to think about enrolling your dog in obedience classes or hiring a professional dog walker.

3. Space: Depending on the breed, some dogs require a lot of space. Make sure you have enough room in your home and yard to accommodate a dog before making the decision to adopt.

4. Lifestyle: Think about your current lifestyle and how a dog may fit into it. Consider if you have any restrictions such as travel, work hours, or allergies. Also, think about how owning a dog may affect your social life.

Adoption fee includes vet check, first vaccination*, flea and worm treatment, microchipping and sterilisation at a SAFE approved vet at 6 months of age.

*Puppies may require further vaccination(s) to complete the full vaccination course. This will be at the cost of the new owner and is not included in the adoption fee.
