About Countessa
Zalah was found cold, malnourished and alone on an abandoned property with no owners in sight. Now, we're not telling you this to gain sympathy, (because Zalah is having none of that), but because this may help you to understand why she is the way she is and where she could go!
This wonderful staffy lady is a little unsure of life! While she can be boisterous and outgoing, she can also be cautious and shy at times. We are hoping her Knight in Shining Armour might be reading this and is ready to come and save her.
Zalah loves treats, and while she has some basic skills like sitting on cue, she will need some on going positive reward based training to help translate those keen skills in to her everyday life.
Zalah really needs some one-on-one attention from her new owner, for this reason we would recommend she be the only dog in the household at this point in time. She has shown that she is not really keen on doggy friends at this moment.
Staffies are incredibly loyal, fun and cheeky dogs. They do require lots of effort from their families and need daily exercise and mental enrichment like kongs, puzzle feeders or training sessions to keep them stimulated! Zalah would absolutely adore someone that is invested in helping her grow and learn new tricks. She is very food motivated and loves liver treats and loaf - this makes training a easy experience for you both.
Zalah is ready and waiting for you at The Lost Dogs' Home in North Melbourne today.
