About Chuck
Hi! I’m Chuck and I’m looking for a new family to call my own.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR CHUCK
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM
https://forms.gle/Q6qjGe2NAJPvZfGfA
NOTE: You are unable to meet Chuck until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Chuck in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.
What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate who is gentle and calm may be okay as boisterous dogs scare me so I will require lots of socialisation with positive experiences with other dogs.
• A doggie playmate would be great, however I’m not very interactive with other dogs as I prefer to spend my time with my humans. Being an only dog and getting all of your love for myself would suit me just fine.
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction.
• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• A family who promise to keep me well groomed and brush me regularly so I’m always looking and feeling my best
• Lots of love and attention
• A submissive dog is the best housemate for me. But, I LOVE LOVE LOVE people, so I'm just as happy being an only dog getting all of your love and attention for myself
• TRAINING TRAINING TRAINING. It's ESSENTIAL I receive training in all aspects of my life so I can be the best dog I can be when I'm older.
• SOCIALISATION is as important for me. Taking me to lots of different places, meeting lots of people (children, men, woman etc) and meeting lots of dogs and other animals will help boost my confidence
Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• No young children as I can be a bit shy in new situations little ones may accidently scare me. Older children who will be involved with my training should be ok
My best features:
• Highly food motivated
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I know my basic doggie commands
• I walk well on lead
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• Social butterfly
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• Well mannered
• Love to snooze on the couch
• Exuberant
Where I need to improve / Training required
• I love my food & toys so using them as a positive reward should make my training easier.
• I MUST have a family who'll allow me inside to allow my confidence to grow.
