About Alfie:
Age: 3-4 months
Breed: Kelpie
Size: Currently small, will grow to be a medium-sized dog
Special Feature: A cute, stumpy tail that wags with excitement
Personality: Alfie is a sweet, playful, and loving puppy. His little stumpy tail is always wagging, showing just how happy and excited he is. He’s full of energy and loves to explore his surroundings. Alfie has a curious nature, always eager to learn and play with his toys. He enjoys cuddles and will happily snuggle up with you after a fun day of play.
Training: Alfie is a smart pup and has already started basic training. He’s crate trained, learning lead training and getting the hang of house training and is also learning a few commands like “sit” and “stay.” With a little patience and consistency, Alfie will thrive and become the perfect companion.
Health: Alfie is up-to-date on his vaccinations and has been given a clean bill of health by our vet. He’s ready to bring his boundless energy and affection into a loving home.
Ideal Home: Alfie would do well in a home where he gets plenty of love, attention, and exercise. He’s great with kids and other pets, making him a fantastic addition to any family. Whether you have a big backyard or live in an apartment, Alfie will adapt as long as he has a caring family by his side.

Alfie Overview

- Will need to be returned to a DRN approved vet for desexing at approximately 5/6 months old
Alfie's adoption fee is $700, which includes desexing when he is old enough. He has had his first two vaccinations and has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Alfie is in foster care in Southern Lake Macquarie area, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock plus Central Coast and Sydney. He'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he's 5 to 6 months old.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family
member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
