About Cheeky (On Trial)
Cheek started a trial in a new home on 27/4/11. Pls see over 70 more dogs on www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au. . . Cheeky is a grand old dame, with just enough mischief in her eyes to see why she earned the name when she was younger. She is now looking for a new home with less activity. . . . Cheeky explains: \ "my current family - foster carers with dog rescue newcastle - saved me from the pound about 12 months ago to give me a good last 6-12 months (or so they thought), because a graceful and charming older lady such as myself deserves nothing less. Boy, did they underestimate me! i've just turned 13, am on no regular medications, and the vet says i may well have a few more years in me yet. I love my home and my family, but am growing weary of the constant stream of young foster dogs always bustling past. No sooner do i teach one batch of young rascals to show proper respect to a lady of my years than they find new homes and i have to start all over again with the next ones. ". . . We are reluctant to put cheeky up for adoption, as we love her dearly, but the current situation is not fair on her and we are looking for a quieter life for her in a loving home so that we can continue with the foster caring. She would be well suited to a home with small yard or courtyard, and an owner who is home much of the time with her. Another quiet dog in the household would be ok, or even a cat, just not the constant stream of young and boisterous dogs that we have as foster carers. . . . Cheeky is a beautiful specimen of an older blue heeler, quite spritely for her age, who enjoys having her coat brushed and loves feed time whether scheduled or not (she demonstrated quite recently that she's still perfectly capable of finding a car door left open by a visiting tradesperson and helping herself to morning tea). She absolutely hates having her photo taken, which is why the photos don't do her justice. . . . Cheeky is free to the right person who can love her and look after her for the rest of her days. In return you'll get the pleasure of being part of the next chapter in this grand old lady's life. Please contact annette. Ph- 02-4362-9800. Mbl- 0404-099-021
