About Sparkles
Meet Sparkles, a stunning blue and white female Greyhound with a heart as beautiful as her coat. Sparkles is a gentle and loving companion who thrives in a home where she can be the center of attention. She's wonderful with medium and large dogs, enjoying their company and playtime. However, she's not suited for homes with cats, small animals, or small dogs.
Sparkles is an explorer at heart, loving her daily walks where she can take in the sights and sounds of the world around her. But don't be fooled by her adventurous spirit-once she's had her fill of the great outdoors, she's all about crashing on the couch and snuggling up with her favorite humans.
She is great with children who are 8 years and older, making her an ideal family dog for those with older kids. Sparkles is toilet trained and prefers to be indoors, enjoying the comfort and warmth of being close to her family.
Car rides are another of Sparkles' favorite pastimes. She loves to hop in the car and accompany her family on trips, making every journey a fun adventure. Most of all, Sparkles adores cuddling. She's happiest when she's curled up next to her humans, soaking in all the love and affection they have to offer.
Sparkles walks well on a lead, making her a pleasure to take on strolls. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, and laid-back companion who will fill your home with love and joy, Sparkles is the perfect dog for you. Adopt Sparkles and let her brighten your life with her sweet and loving nature.
To book a meet and greet with Sparkles please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
