About Butterfly
Butterfly by name, and social butterfly by nature, get ready to fall in love with this sweet sugar face!
Taking her role as neighbourhood greeter very seriously, Butterfly loves to say hello to other dogs (big and small) when out on her walks - she will even do little excited whines when she spots a new bestie, but rest assured this polite girl won't pull on the lead and can be redirected to continue her walk fairly easily.
If you're looking for a co-pilot to run errands with, Butterfly is your girl. She loves the car so much that she'll even stop hopefully at parked cars on her walks - wondering if she can convince you to go for a little drive around. Her ideal forever home would be happy for her to tag along on adventures, but she is also happy to wait patiently at home when required and will snooze the time away to conserve her energy for the big welcome home happy dance.
Butterfly is currently living with another hound, but would be more than happy to be your one and only - especially if you work from home or could bring her into the office. The snuggliest snoot, she loves nothing more than to curl up in your lap, or close by to keep an eye on what you are up to. She can get a bit competitive with her canine foster brother, and if there's affection on offer she can get a little pushy to ensure she is getting her share of the love.
Sweet and gentle with young children, social with other dogs, and the biggest love bug - Butterfly will make the most wonderful addition to any home who would be happy to include her in everything.

No full time workers unless some working from home or there is another dog

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, some can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour.
As a result we look to rehome dogs into households where they are not left on their own for more than 4 hours per day on a regular basis, without either people or another dog for company. We are happy discuss strategies such as a dog walker or doggy day care. Going to work with you is also a great option
