About Biscuit
So before you apply I have to ask you two questions
One – do you want a dog that is like Velcro – I don’t have separation anxiety but I do love to be with my humans – I can stick to my human like Velcro and don’t have a problem following you anywhere you go.
And second question do you like to snuggle close and often? If the answer is yes to both of these – keep reading!!
My name is Biscuit and I am a 1 year and nearly 10 month old Miniature Poodle x who loves to be with his humans and loves to just be a part of the family.
I am looking for a home where there is a lap spare for me to sit on / lay on / lay over / stand on anytime / you know just be close to him. I am even happy to sit right under your work chair with you if you work from home. Or a bed close to your desk while you work – I am happy to snooze nearby.
I came into care as an ex breeder and the rescue made it so that I couldn’t make any more babies with the ladies.
My foster mums says I currently weigh 9.8kgs - but that doesn't stop me from being light on my feet and jump around!
I am learning basic lead training but love the thought of you and me spending time together walking as one I love to be with you. Seeing the lead makes me very happy and excited.
I love to play ball - I have great recall of bringing it back if i want or if i don't - that's great recall isn't it?
I love a squishy toy and love when it squeaks and thats my BFF.
I was not used to living inside before I came into rescue so I am about 95% toilet trained – just might need a reminder for the first day or two when I go to my new house.
I am currently in my foster home with other dogs and my foster mum says that I am a super dooper dog friendly dog. My foster mum says cause I'm still only a baby and learning about other dogs - if they rush up to my face I can get a bit nervous (freeze) but then give me 30 seconds and I'm fine.
I love my food and my foster mum says I'm very treat oriented. Very inquisitive and just wants to be part of everything you do.
I am not tested on cats but my foster mum says I would probably try and cuddle them too and make them my friend (she says annoy - I say friend)
I am great around kids – I mean why not, they give cuddles and they love to play with me – I mean what more could you want.
Obviously while I don’t have separation anxiety I would love a home where someone either works from home, retired, shift workers etc etc etc
I do have lovely manners (when I remember them) and know how to sit for a treat! I am unsure of being in the car this is just lack of outings while I was with the breeder.
My foster mum says I have a typical Poodle coat and do require regular grooming and brushing - especially the ears!
So if you think I sound like your type of fur friend please send in an application to the rescue!

Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.

Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed

Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
