About Bruno
Hi my name is Bruno, I’m a 1 year and 2 month old Tibetan Spaniel x
I am looking for my fur-ever family where we can share endless amounts of love and affection between us.
I and many others, came into care a few weeks ago from a backyard breeder and we were very timid and unsure when we arrived. I wasn’t used to affection, but now that I have experienced it, I never want it to end. My favorite place to be is snuggled up with my foster mum, either on her lap while she works during the day, or next to her on the lounge at night.
I love playing with my foster dog siblings in short bursts each morning and each night, but other than that, I am so happy to just be around my humans who love me, so I don’t need to have other dogs in my new family. If there are other dogs, my preference is small dogs as I still find big dogs a bit too overwhelming (especially dogs with deep sounding barks!)
I have been so patient and gentle with my foster family’s young children – aged 5,6 and 8. I give them cuddles and let them dress me up sometimes! I am happy with young children as long as they are respectful of my soft, gentle nature. I am not a dog who enjoys “rough” play.
I would really enjoy a home where there is someone home more often than not, or a home where people work from home or a retired person who wants to spend lots of time with me. I am happiest when I’m with my humans.
At night time, I like to sleep in my foster family’s bedroom. My foster mum encourages me to sleep on the dog bed, however I much prefer to sleep in her bed. I never like to miss an opportunity for snuggles.
Sometimes when new people come to visit I can get scared, but I am slowly getting more comfortable with strangers. It helps when my foster mum cuddles me and eases me into having new people in the house. Once I realise the strangers aren’t going to hurt me, then I am happy for them to pat me and cuddle me.
At first I wasn’t sure of how to walk on a lead, but I have grown to love our walks and get very excited when I see my foster mum pick up my lead. Sometimes if the cupboard door is left open, I will pull my lead out to remind my foster mum to take me for a walk.
Initially I wasn’t very keen to try new foods, but once I felt safe and comfortable in my environment, I realised that new foods are actually fantastic. I now have a healthy diet full of different foods and I get very excited at dinner time each night.
I like to be helpful, so if any of the kiddies leave their socks lying around, I will take them to my bed to look after them. My foster family has learned that any missing socks can be found with me.
When my foster family goes out, I prefer to be left inside the house. This is where I feel safest and most comfortable. I also enjoy going out with them – I am very well behaved in the car, and usually fall asleep on one of the kiddies laps.
I am toilet trained but might have an accident if I can’t get outside.
I am 5.8kg of love and joy.
I have not been tested on cats.
If you are patient and loving with me as I settle into another new home, then I promise I will repay you with so much love and affection that we will be best friends forever.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.

Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.

INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
