About Olive
A really sweet girl...
Meet Olive,
Olive is a lovely, sweet & gentle girl. She is friendly and curious & quite playful despite sometimes being a little nervous.
She is suitable for first time owners and is best suited to a calm & quiet home as loud noises can startle her.
Olive is open to meet kids of any age, and she loves to be picked up, cuddled, and carried. She loves her cheeks being scratched & doesn't say no to more pats, cuddles & attention in general.
She has previously lived with cats, in fact she lived with Midnight (ID: 11302), Cleopatra (ID: 11303) and Olivia (ID: 11304). Olive appears to be un-phased by the other cats in the cattery, she is curious to meet them, so we recommend that if you are going to introduce her to another feline friend to do so slowly & gradually.
As we cannot test in this environment, we are unsure how Olive would go living with dogs. This would be up to the discretion of her new owner. However we do know that she is not a fan of dogs barking.
Olive was an inside only cat in her previous home & to make sure that she feels safe in her new home, we think that she should remain as an inside only cat. Olive was quite stressed in our cat park possibly the whole idea of being outside & the loud noises was too much for her, so having her inside only will make her feel safe & you'll get to see her thrive in the comfort & safety on your home.
Olive's energy needs a medium, she has a special love for wand toys. Olive is also a quiet cat & is not fussy when it comes to food & treats.
She is also very tidy, always using her litter tray.
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask if that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
