About Princess & Poppy - 8 Year Old Pomeranian
Meet Poppy and Princess, eight year old Pomeranian sisters from the same litter with two very different personalities. Poppy is a very confident and happy girl who loves to show off her beautiful smile. Poppy (6kg) is a busy girl, spending the day chasing and catching flies and staring at lizards for hours trying to chase them around the garden. She then enjoys to curl up next to her foster mum on the couch and sleep the evening away. Princess (5kg) is a very cuddly, timid and gentle girl who shadows her foster mum around the house and watches her every move. Princess likes to spend the day curled up on the couch or in the sun sleeping or getting as close to her foster mum as possible. These two girls will make very loyal companions for the right family as they are very affectionate, cuddly girls that love attention.
Poppy is a very friendly girl who quickly warms to new people, while Princess is a bit shy and may take a little bit extra time to settle in to her new family. However; once you have her trust and she has approved of you, an abundant of cuddles, love and affection is on offer. Poppy and Princess are both very affectionate girls and will show their affection with lots of licks, kisses and cuddles.
Both girls are very healthy and recently vet checked, however Princess is blind (from birth) in her right eye. This does not affect her in any way however, in new environments she does stay close to Poppy and rely on her to follow around hence why these girls can not be separated.
Both girls are toilet trained, however in times of stress such as a new environment Poppy has done wee’s inside. Her new family will need to be patient with her while she adjusts. Poppy will also not hesitate to relieve herself inside if she does not have access to outside during the day. A house with a doggy door would be ideal for these girls to ensure they have access to go to the toilet when they need.
Poppy and Princess are very quiet girls and will only bark if someone comes to the door. They do not stress when left alone provided they have each other and would be ok with a part time worker.
Poppy and Princess sleep all night in their foster mums bed and love their morning cuddles. They will need to go to a home that allows them to be inside and be a part of the family. The girls love children however they do jump up to say hello and give lots of kisses so children over 5 would be more suitable. While Poppy and Princess are not aggressive in any way, they are very wary of other dogs, especially ones bigger than them so a meet and greet with a dog in their new family is a must. They are untested with cats and pocket pets.
Poppy and Princess like to go for a 30 minute walk most days. They are very fluffy girls and need regular brushing and grooming. The girls are very well behaved at the groomers. Poppy will sit for her food and treats, however, Princess is still working on her training.
Poppy and Princess are both de-sexed, vaccinated, worm/flea/tick up to date and have recently both had dental work done. They are currently in care in Thornton, NSW, and not available for adoption interstate. Adoption fee is $800 for the pair.
