About Jed
Hi my name is Jed. I was surrendered to BVAR care to have a better shot at life.
I'm a cute and spunky little fella that has a whole lot of love to give to the right home.
I currently live with other dogs of similar size, including my sister. I much prefer female dogs and they definitely should be a similar size to me so I don't get my knickers in a knot. I also live with a cat with no issues and mainly ignore them.
I would be fine as an only pet, provided my new humans were home more often than not. I'm currently used to being alone for roughly 5 hours at a time, but that's with the company of other dogs.
I currently sleep outside in the dog pen with my foster siblings and spend my days both outside in the sun and inside snuggling into my people.
I would be fine with older children, as I am still learning my manners and not to jump up. It can take me a little bit of time to warm up to new people, but it doesn't take long before we are the bestest of friends.
- How are they with children? Would you recommend them with young children?
Would be good. Would need to be redirected when jumping up.
I'm playful and enjoy playing with soft squeaky toys and the treat ball. My foster mumma is working hard on teaching me to be calm and I am working on sit. I can get a little distracted with training so my new home needs patience and time and commitment.
I have a naughty habit of digging under the fence to take myself on adventures. This is something that will be easily managed as long as I don't get bored.
I will run around for hours outside with the other dogs but love nothing more than to snuggle on the couch. I can take a few minutes to settle down inside but I am happy to curl up and sleep.
I am a very loving dog. I am very food motivated and willing to learn for the right treat. I will need plenty of time in the yard where he can move freely. I would prefer a friend to play with however if I had someone at home most of the day I would be ok with that.
