We at Home2Home believe everyone deserves the joy that cat guardianship brings! We love seeing wonderful cats matched with loving adopters, and we don’t want adoption fees to be a barrier to you bringing a loving cat into your heart and home. So if MeiMei sounds like the cat for you, we ask you to nominate your own adoption fee amount. There is no minimum or maximum amount required, and all adoption fees continue to fund PetRescue’s life-saving programs that support pets and people!
Meet MeiMei, the Independent Cuddle Bug!
Are you looking for a gentle and friendly companion who knows exactly what she wants? Look no further than MeiMei! This sensitive soul is the ideal mix of independent and affectionate, making her an easygoing, low-maintenance addition to your home.
MeiMei's favourite activities include catching flies, treat training (she's a pro!), and snuggling on your lap while you're on your phone. She's convinced that patting her is much better than scrolling through social media! MeiMei is also quite the conversationalist and loves joining in on your chats.
MeiMei's typical day includes meowing for breakfast, enjoying a good wash, cuddling with anyone at home, and taking a long nap. She loves playtime with her favourite toys and asking for a brush when she hears you in the kitchen. By evening, she's ready for more treats, chin pats, and some quiet time before bed.
Her unique way of showing affection—cuddling on your lap, weaving between your legs, and purring loudly—will melt your heart. MeiMei's excitement over simple pleasures like flies, birds, and a good brushing session is infectious. Watching her try to settle on your lap, placing her paws on your arm for belly brushes, and napping belly-up are just some of the endearing moments that will make you smile.
MeiMei is shy and may take a bit to warm up to new people, but once she does, she's incredibly loving, curious, and chatty. She's even content to explore the yard on a leash! A quieter home without too many strangers would be ideal for this sweet girl, as she prefers her own space when things get too busy.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
