$100 Aoife

Aoife came to us via another rescue. She was temperamental - enjoying head scratches one moment, swiping the next.

Aoife was bred with an elderly Ragdoll male over and over again as a colony cat that no-one cared to rescue for years. No sooner than her kittens left the nest would she be mated (raped) again. The male would aggressively bite her and we suspect this is where her FIV came from.

Aoife recently had dental surgery to remove 9 rotten teeth and clean the rest. This poor girl has been through the wars! She now has a sparkly clean set of pearly whites and is ready for a fresh new start to life.

Aoife has shown a preference towards males but will trust and accept the affection of women too with patience and time. Her personal experience with women has not been pleasant, so this is hardly surprising.

Aoife is not a lap cat, but she does like to tell us her breakfast order and enjoys head and lower back scratches. Affection must be on her terms and her owner needs to be experienced with cat body language.
