About Mareena
This delightful girl is Mareena, a Maremma born on 14 October 2022.
True to her breed, Mareena is a gentle and friendly dog who would make a loving and loyal companion.
She currently lives with toddler children who she is very gentle with. A cattle dog who she loves playing silly games with and cats who she doesn’t seem bothered with what they are up to. She loves belly rubs and cuddles. She is truely gentle and always responds to her people.
Her breed is protective of its family and extremely loving. She is very polite, listens to her foster carer with stay, sit and walks well on the lead. Her neighbour dogs bark at her and she just watches them without any barks back. She will only bark if necessary which makes a great guard dog.
Like many dogs who haven’t had the best start to life she is very protective over her food. It doesn’t bother her if people touch her food, only her foster dog brother. Her foster carer is currently training her out of this behaviour, when adopted these same steps will need to be continued.
Other then that one thing she is just a perfect pet who is well trained with politeness making her transition to any forever home an ease. She has never been a working dog, so enjoys life as loving her people as a pet dog.
If you are interested in meeting her, please complete the online application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ and ensure that you include photos of your yard and fencing.
Mareena is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. She has also been wormed and flea treated.
