About Grace
Sweet grace is a miracle within her own right. Coming into care at just 24 hours old, her mumma was sick unable to care for her and her single sibling due to a pyometra (infected uterus) which is seen very uncommonly in our feline friends. Unfortunately, graces sibling didn’t make it, but Grace stayed strong against the odds.
Her first 48 hours in care were touch and go and the odds were definitely not in her favour, but she fought to prove her strength.
Over the next few weeks of her life, grace struggled with diarrhoea and slow growth, with weight loss at one point. The stress of her battles evident as one day, she started to drop her hair. Many vets were consulted to ensure that grace was given then best odds.
Once Grace started solid food, she started to flourish, and too, her tiny personality began to overflow. Grace is still very small weighing it at less than 1kg by 11 weeks old.
We are unsure of the long term effects of Graces delayed development, but at this stage, she is a fully furred, energetic and cheeky little girl.
If you are wanting a shadow, who will make you aware if she feels like she has lost you around the house with her tiny squeaks, then Grace is the girl for you. Her favourite spot to sleep at night is under the doona, a behaviour she picked up from her foster sibling.
Grace would much prefer to have a feline sibling who she can wrestle, chase and snuggle with.
Grace has grown up around dogs, and will happily share her space with a respectful and gentle dog, who doesn’t mind their tail and toes being toys.
