About Matt
Meet Matt!
Matt was surrendered into our care after his owner was no longer willing to care for him, coming into us in devastating condition, Matt was malnourished, had evidence of old and untreated wounds, he was fearful of new people and dogs, but despite all of this, he had a sweet nature and his eyes were screaming for some love and help.
We have continued to work with Matt in the shelter, treating his medical needs, working on his confidence, increasing his weight, and showing him what love is. Despite the huge progress Matt has made, going into a new home and environment will be tricky for him, and he needs a new home that will understand the trauma he has been through, and be patient and caring whilst he familiarises himself with his new life.
Due to Matt's experiences, he must be the only dog in the home, and is not suitable to live with children under the age of 16.
It is important for Matt that he does not go to any dog parks or high-traffic areas, due to his previous experiences he lacks confidence around dogs and can become quite stressed.
With some time and consistency we know Matt will grow up to be a loving and loyal dog, he loves treats, he loves to play and has a huge heart.
Matt is still learning basic skills, and needs further training to help reduce his impulse issues, Matt can be quite jumpy, and will take any opportunity to give you a big wet kiss on the mouth.
We hope to see him cuddled up in his new bed, surrounded by love in a forever home! Could it be with you?
Matt
