About Scooby
Hi there! My name is Scooby, and I'm a stunning black cat with a heart full of love just waiting to be shared. When I first meet new people, I can be a little timid. You see, it takes me a bit of time to feel safe and comfortable. But oh, what a change happens when I realize that those new people give the best pats and serve the yummiest food!
I have a wonderful brother named Shaggy, and he's also looking for a loving home just like me. We make quite the pair, don't we?
I absolutely adore being petted, and once I'm settled in, I'll even climb onto your knee while you watch TV, especially if "Deal or No Deal" is on. It's one of my favorite times to snuggle and enjoy your company.
I'm looking for a forever home where the humans understand that I need a little time to adjust. I'd do best with kids who are 8 years or older, as they can respect my space and let me settle in without being picked up and carried around too much at the beginning. Once I'm comfortable, you'll see my true affectionate and loving nature shine through.
If you're looking for a gentle, loving cat who will become your devoted companion, I'm your girl. I can't wait to find my forever home where I can give all the love I have. Maybe it's with you?
To book a meet and greet with Scooby please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
