About Shaggy
Hello there! My name is Shaggy, and I'm a gorgeous grey and white medium-haired cat with a heart as fluffy as my fur. When I first meet new people, I might come off as a bit shy and timid. But just wait until I discover that those new people give amazing pats and serve the most delicious food-then you'll see a complete turnaround!
I have a lovely sister named Scooby, and we're both on the lookout for our forever homes. Together, we make quite the duo!
I absolutely love getting petted, and once I feel at home, I'll happily sit on your knee while you watch TV. "Deal or No Deal" is one of my favorite shows to snuggle up to-there's something so comforting about it.
I'm searching for a forever home where my new family understands that I need a little time to feel secure. I'd be happiest with kids who are 10 years or older, as they will respect my space and let me get comfortable without picking me up and carrying me around too much at first. Once I'm settled, you'll see my true affectionate and loving side shine through.
If you're looking for a gentle, loving cat who will become your loyal companion, I could be the perfect match for you. I can't wait to find my forever home where I can share all my love and snuggles. Could it be with you?
To book a meet and greet with Shaggy please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
