About Luna
***WE'RE ALWAYS ON THE LOOKOUT FOR FOSTER CARERS TO HELP US OUT SO IF YOU THINK YOU CAN PROVIDE A TEMPORARY HOME FOR ONE OF OUR BEAUTIFUL CATS PLEASE LET US KNOW. THE MORE CARERS WE HAVE AVAILABLE TO LEND A HAND THE MORE CATS WE CAN HELP REHOME***
Luna is a sweet and gentle soul with a quirky personality. Imagine a grumpy old grandmother who can be loving but rough around the edges at the same time and you're getting a good idea what she's like.
Luna was well loved by her previous owner but sadly they had a change in living situation and we're no longer able to look after her so they made the tough decision to find her a new home. She has come from a loving household and we believe that prior to being surrendered she had lived with the one person her entire life.
She has come from an indoor / outdoor environment and we believe that's where she is best suited. We would love to find her a home on a farm or in a household with a big back yard where she can come and go as she pleases, go outside to lie in the sun and do her business as nature intended.
She can be a bit shy at first in a new environment but once she's had a chance to settle in and build her confidence she will be very keen to start exploring her new home. She took a couple days to settle in her foster home and then was keen to be out and about.
Luna isn't the type of cat that is always in your face and wanting attention. She likes to hang out and do her own thing but is happy to have a pat and a scratch when you're around. She is currently living on the top floor of her foster home and is happy up there doing her own thing. She does not come downstairs as she does not like the other cat in the household.
She's the type of cat that will jump up onto the bed and sit next to you but will not climb all over you.
She has her moments when she can be very affectionate but will also wag her tail and give you a little nip to say go away when she's not in the mood. She has the cutest little meow which generally comes out when she is hungry. She is very food motivated so the way to her heart is definitely through her stomach.
She has lived with other cats and dogs before but can be a bit nervous in such a busy environment so she would be best suited to a household where she is the only cat. Once she has her own little kingdom to rule Luna will gain in confidence and her beautiful personality will begin to shine through. She has been quite grumpy at times in households that have other pets but we believe this will improve significantly in the right environment.
In a previous foster home she actually bonded very strongly with the teenage daughter and they would often be found curled up together in bed. So she definitely has an affectionate side that will come out in the right environment.
Luna would appreciate a quiet household where she has the freedom tom come and go as she pleases and seek you out when she's in the mood for attention. She would be best suited to a farm or house with a big back yard.
If you're looking for an independent little lady who's going to be happy to have a cuddle from time to time but is otherwise happy doing her own thing then this is the cat for you.
Luna is approximately 6 years old and has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated and is available for adoption right meow.
If you think you have the room in your heart and your home to provide this gorgeous little lady with a great life please let us know and we’ll be more than happy to arrange a time for you to meet and fall in love with her.

A little about us:
Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.
Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.
We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
We have recently created a Go Fund Me towards this end so if you would like to donate towards our cause please follow the below link.
