About Cilla
Cilla is an absolute sweetheart who was rescued from a rural pound when she was heavily pregnant. Cilla showed incredible strength and resilience and birthed her five beautiful puppies at the rescue two days later, where she did an incredible job raising them. Now that most of her puppies have found loving homes, it's Cilla's turn to find her own forever family.
She thrives on companionship and is doing wonderfully in her foster carer's home where she is living with a male dog named Finn (who is also up for adoption).
🐾 Calm and Gentle: Cilla is remarkably calm for a young dog. She's not overly energetic and prefers quiet moments with her loved ones. You won't hear much out of this gentle soul and she enjoys keeping her foster carer company, laying in her bed quietly next to her.
💖 Yearning for Affection: Cilla is an affectionate lovebug and has bonded quickly with her female foster carer. While she can be shy with new people, you can tell she craves love, though she can be wary of men due to her past experiences.
🐕🐱 Good with Dogs: Cilla got on well with the dogs in the rescue kennels and is happily living with a male dog in foster care, though she doesn't necessarily need to be rehomed with other dogs as she just wants to feel loved and secure. Cilla hasn't shown any reaction to the small dogs and cats she's encountered through gates and windows at the rescue, indicating that she could potentially live harmoniously with furry friends of all sizes.
🎓 Great on lead: While she hasn't had the opportunity to learn tricks yet, manners come naturally to Cilla and she walks very calmly on lead for her foster carer. With her eagerness to please, she's sure to pick up new skills quickly with a bit of guidance and positive reinforcement. She will need a gradual introduction to the world outside the rescue as much of it will be new for her.
❓Mysterious gal: Her breed is a bit of a mystery as she has the low-shedding, wiry coat of an Irish wolfhound with beautiful white and tan markings, but she is medium sized like the size of a small border collie.
If you're looking for a loyal companion who be adoring and grateful to you every day, look no further than Cilla. Come meet this beautiful soul today and give her the forever home she deserves! 🐾❤️🏡

Adoption details
If you would like to adopt a country pet there are a few requirements.
A chat with the foster carer is the first step to determine if the pet is the right one for you and your lifestyle. A yard check while having a meet and greet is the next step and if all is satisfactory for all parties the adoption can go ahead.
The perfect home for each individual pet is essential, and the decision about which new home the pet goes to is made by the foster carer.
