About Poppy
Poppy is a 7 year old Border Collie x Kelpie who adores her humans and always welcomes you with a big smile and full body wiggles.
Poppy loves a game of frisbee and is an expert mid air catcher, she also loves a game of ball and politely returns her toys to you each time. On walks Poppy enjoys exploring with her nose. While Poppy is not a high energy dog she still enjoys her daily exercise. As part of her daily enrichment Poppy loves food puzzles of all kinds and is an A+ student. Poppy sleeps well throughout the night and is toilet trained. She has all her obedience under her belt (she even knows a few special tricks), has very polite manners and loves pleasing her humans. She is also fine when left alone.
Poppy is best suited to being an only dog as she can be reactive to other dogs and will guard what is precious to her from other dogs. This guarding is not an issue with people. Poppy’s exposure to children has been limited and she is nervous around them, so a home with older children (12+) or adults only would be best.
Poppy will be a very lovely companion for most homes and she can't wait to meet her new people!
Medical notes
Poppy is currently prescribed anti anxiety medication for generalised anxiety
(one tablet per day with breakfast) as well as oestrogen (one tablet every 10 days) for help with urinary incontinence.
