Hi! I'm Cricket, a new roly pup in the SAFE program and I’ve just moved into my foster home. I’ve been vet checked and now I'm ready for a permanent home. I’m a willing pup and have a great temperament. I’m super friendly and a happy boy just waiting to find the perfect home. Ideally I would prefer a home on a large property where I have the space to stretch my legs. Otherwise I will really need an active family who enjoy training and are committed to giving me the exercise and training I need. I love meeting new people and my foster home is teaching me lots about the world and some new things like “sit” and “wait”. Sometimes I have a big sleep after all that!
As a working breed I am smart and love to learn. Want to know more about how you teach a pup to be a great dog? I’d like to do training every day so that I learn the commands of sit, stay, come, down, and leave it. And once I’ve learnt them, I need to keep practicing them every day too. That way I’ll easily learn to follow what you tell me to do. Being consistent and clear with your boundaries will mean I always know the right way to behave. Getting out to exercise at least twice a day for working dog breeds is vital to stimulate my brain and body. It creates important opportunities for me to meet strangers, other dogs and other animals, plus using my brain tires me out! I’d love to have a range of chew toys and play things that you can swap around so I don’t get bored with them.
