About Buddy
If you are interested in Buddy, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form - https://forms.gle/3bTG6XWQv49RPxJV6
Meet Buddy - a friendly and lovable fur companion who is happiest when snoozing in the same room as his favourite people. With a temperament best described as affectionate, gentle, and lazy, this heartwarmer has a tail that never stops wagging, showing the ever-present joy he derives from simply being around his beloved humans.
Buddy is an easygoing and flexible pet that can adapt to apartment living or a house, and will be your dedicated shadow around the home. He'd love to live with another dog, preferably a female, for company, but is also content being the solo pet in the house. In his former home, Buddy was perfectly comfortable being left for one to two hours alone, and even longer alongside another dog, so he is quite independent.
Potential adopters should know that Buddy is gentle with everyone he meets, making him an ideal fit for a family with respectful older children. He's a well-mannered gentleman on walks, showing interest in cats and birds, but is generally not bothered by other dogs. Buddy prefers shorter walks and would be perfectly content with one walk a day due to his laid-back, lazy nature.
Buddy is fully toilet-trained and can hold all day. He's trained to use a doggie door. Buddy has a special love for cow ears and kangaroo tails/jerky. He doesn't show signs of resource guarding, so you can feel comfortable knowing he's a gentleman during mealtimes.
he doesn't like having his feet touched and might show signs of sleep startle when you come too close to those precious feet while he is sleeping.
Buddy does get a little excited and may jump up upon the arrival of guests, but otherwise, he's an absolute angel. He harbours a special love for cuddles and affection and enjoys catching a nap when you're out of the house. He's generous in showing his love, going as far as sleeping on top of you if allowed to do so, but his favourite sleeping spot is on top of your pillows on the bed.
Given his easily manageable needs, his loving nature, and his desire to give and receive love, he would be a wonderful pet for first-time dog owners. In Buddy, you will find a lifelong, wag-tailed friend who is looking forward to making your family complete.
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.
