About Rosie
Please meet Rosie, the sweet natured little 3 year and 8 month old Dachshund
Rosie is the ideal family dog with such a beautiful nature.
Rosie has come into care thru no fault of her own and is a pleasure to have in rescue and a very easy dog to hang out with.
Rosie is initially timid around strangers, but once she is comfortable and has been given a minute or ten to gain her confidence she will be your best friend.
Rosie is looking for her family to love on and be loved on.
Rosie loves being close by to her humans, and if given the option she will spend most of the day inside hanging out with her humans or sleeping on their feet as they watch tv or work from home.
Rosie loves nothing more than to snuggle on her humans laps for hours and hours. She is a real snuggle bunny!
Rosie currently weighs 6.3kgs.
Rosie will be her humans shadow she would happily be with you 24/7 - she does not have separation anxiety - she just loves to snuggle. Rosie is always curious and will follow you wherever you go.
Rosie would love to have a life where someone is home more often than not, shift worker, retired or works from home so she can hang out with them, she loves keeping her humans company and at the end of the day having a good cuddle on the couch.
Rosie can be very timid and is a gentle girl who once confident and settled in her new home enjoys playing with kids and snuggling with them.
Rosie is currently at a home with some kids and loves to play with them
Rosie is currently in care with other small breed dogs and is happily to play with them or to be by herself. Rosie ideally would need another dog for company but also her humans who she will seek out and wants to be with.
Rosie is toilet trained.
Rosie currently sleeps in a dog bed in her foster mum and dad's room but would never say no to being able to sleep on the bed with someone.
Rosie bonds very quickly with her humans, is extremely affectionate and loving and just wants to be part of the family.
Rosie has not been tested on cats but with her gentle nature we are believing she will be fine with them.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
