About Po'Boy
Po'Boy is a sweet, goofy guy. He loves to play with his foster mum and foster brother (Chihuahua) and all toys will be embraced enthusiastically, thrown in the air, chased and flung around.
He loves to rumble and play tug of war. Whilst he likes to go outside on walks and will sniff and explore and run around and jump on things and is not too bad on a leash, other dogs that aren't his foster brother are a bit scary and he can react in a not so pleasant manner, we're working on this and so is he but it will take time and patience and someone committed to continuing to build his confidence.
Po is a funny boy, he has a cute little wonky walk and will make you laugh with his made up games like under the cover monster which seems to just entail him going under blankets and messing them up. 😂 He is a total odd ball and it's incredibly endearing but he is also complex and sensitive and is looking for a special home to help continue his journey to greatness!
MY IDEAL HOME: Po's ideal Mojo Dojo Casa House will come with a person he can stick to like Velcro. He will follow you around where ever you go at whatever time of day or night you go. He likes to cuddle at night and be touching. He will need a garden or courtyard to do his business and catch the sweet passing scents and some sunshine he can access with a dog door. An adult house without kids or cats would be best, but another energetic, small dog to play with would be great. He can be a little bit fussy with who he likes, so ideally a house that just has an occasional visitor he can get used to.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: A fantastic mix of playtime and nap time guided by you.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Small children are not a match for Po' as he still has some fear to strangers and is a bit reactive to sudden moves and touch.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: A small dog to rumble with would be wonderful, I think he would be ok on his own if you're home majority of the time. If you don't have another dog for him to play with, you'll need to be the substitute. He loves fun. Big dogs would be too much for his long skinny Ieggy legs.
Untested with cats, but likely not a match for Po'Boy!

We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
