About Bambi
Howdy! I'm Bambi!
I'm a loveable goofball with no idea of boundaries. I love hanging near you (some would say TOO near, especially if you're in The Kitchen), getting stroked (a lot), and leaning on you (until you get a dead leg) and I'm really, really happy giving you a tongue bath (until you beg me to stop).
That said, I also play super well with my other doggy friends. I'm generous with sharing toys, I politely wait for everyone to finish before selflessly embarking on clean-up duty, and I like to snuggle with them in a really Instagrammable way (no snoring - phew).
I'm good with cats apparently and seem friendly with children, even if I'm a bit exuberant in my affection. But hey, I'm just a pup - I'll learn!
Don't let my larger frame fool you. I'm a real sweetheart looking for the right family to pour all my love and gentleness into. Could you be the ones?
MY IDEAL HOME: I'm an indoor dog, and I'd love to be in a family where I can play and be part of the cool gang. However, I'd also be happy in a house with another dog, as I'm ridiculously sociable. I'd be sad, left on my lonesome for hours, but who would want to leave this smooshy face for long?!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: As long as I get a good run at the park daily, I'm one happy puppa! I'm really good on the lead even though I'm still a pup, and say G'Day to all the neighbourhood dogs. I can sit and wait and I'm learning to recall, but I still get easily distracted with all the exciting play at the park and can sometimes forget my name ;)
After my run, I'm ready for breakfast and a nap. I love company from other dogs or humans, but to be honest, walking and playing is quite tiring so I can sleep for a good few hours. I like gentle play with my hooman or fellow wuffa in the evening after dinner - them I'm ready for my nighttime cuddles!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I still don't really understand my size, but I'm a big teddy bear, and I love hanging with my neighbour's children. I haven't had much experience so I'm still learning not to be toooo enthusiastic with my attention, but so far - so good!
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I love my foster sister Juno, a smaller dog, and I play very gently with her. She's top dog, so I put up with her slobbering over me and bossing me about. I always let her finish her bowl while I wait for clean up and we cuddle up on the sofa together as best friends should.
In my previous home, I lived with cats. Although my new foster parent hasn't got one, apparently, they don't bother me - then again, nothing much does!

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
