About Winston Bishop
Whippet lovers, gather round, let me tell you about Winston Bishop.
This sweet boy is everything you want in a whippet - house trained, uses the doggy door, great with other whippets, and loves a game of zoomies followed by "bitey-face" on the couch.
While in foster this boy has loved his long morning walks in the bush. He enjoys sticking his nose down rabbit holes, and barking at all the 'roos he passes. This tuckers him our for a big chunk of the day, and he is happy sleeping on the couch until after 5 when it's time for a big play with his foster siblings.
Winston has basic training, however he can still play a little rough and would be suited to a home with older kids.
We would love to see Winston go to a home with another whippet to help match his energy and play behaviours.
Winston is available for Foster to Adopt! So if you have been considering adding another whippet o your family, get in touch with us today and come meet this amazing young man!
To book a meet and greet with Winston Bishop please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
